25+ years of designing websites that actually work.
Not just beautiful — strategic, purposeful, and built to convert.
Tri Design Labs has been building websites since the days of Macromedia Dreamweaver — that's right, before it was Adobe, it was MacroMedia! We watched the web grow up: from table layouts to CSS, from Flash intros to responsive design, from bloated page builders to the lean, purposeful custom builds we do today.
For a while, it felt like the tools were winning. Templates got slicker, builders got faster, and somewhere along the way the web started looking the same. Every site using the same hero. The same font stack. The same journey to the same call to action.
Then something shifted. With tools like Anthropic's Claude Code and Google's AntiGravity — AI-powered development environments that bring intelligent, context-aware coding to a real designer's workflow — custom website design didn't just become possible again...
it became joyful!
No more templates | No being stuck in an ecosystem | No more limited choices
Clean, purposeful, and built to convert design.
It's the best time to be a web developer.
And we're making the most of it.
The Human Behind the Pixels
Most designers come from art school. Duncan came from Operations — and it changed everything about how he approaches design. Years spent optimizing workflows, reducing friction, and measuring real-world outcomes gave him something most designers never develop: a deep instinct for what actually converts.
Good design isn't decoration. Good design is communication. It guides the eye, builds trust, and — when done right — turns visitors into customers. Every layout decision, every color choice, every line of copy is in service of that outcome.
Tri Design Labs is a boutique operation by design. Duncan handles all creative direction, strategy, and execution personally. A trusted circle of colleagues is brought in for UI/UX testing and language translation review, ensuring every build is sharp, clear, and ready to perform before it goes live.
Currently based in Vietnam, Duncan and his family split their time between Southeast Asia and the United States.
